New adventure

This seems to have been an event that very much pleased you, Mr. Perkins. Very nice.

Army National Guard (Job)

During the summer of 1968, having moved from Little Rock, Arkansas to a small town Kensett. It seem very lonely with nothing to do having live in the city all my life and out of school now, seem like there was nothing to do, because after 8pm there was no one on the streets all the stores were closed there were no basketball corts or skating rings, you just sit at home and watch TV. one day while walking downtown a young man in a army jeep, stop and started talking to me about joining the guards sounded exciting so there I went. Off to basic training, and that was an exciting time durning my eight month of training. frist their basic learning the ways of the army eight of running, jumping, exsecise, ect. There I was a young man 18 years of age and in shaped being train to act as one. After basic I was sent to school to train for my job which was 36k20 commication spectlist. There I learn how to operate switchboards, climded poles, radio operator very exciting time for a young man, who 8 months had nothing to do but walks the streets of Kensett, Arkansas with nothing to do. Now I have a job with the Army National Guard.
